Delphi opens new Shanghai training school In direct response to the growing Asia Pacific vehicle parc equipped with Common Rail and EUI technology, Delphi Product & Service Solution (DPSS) have created a training school at the China Technical Centre (CTC), Shanghai, to support the increased number of authorised Delphi Service workshops.

Keith Payne – Hartridge UK – who is responsible for the Far East region was also present to advise the delegates on All Makes testing of Delphi, Bosch, Denso and Continental products.
As technology advances with new operating pressure thresholds and the introduction of piezo technology, the need for clear and focused training will be paramount. During week commencing 8th June 09, the first training course at the new training school, took place and was attended by 19 delegates from the Delphi Service network. The 5-day training covered the foundation of Hartridge test equipment operation, All Makes test of Common Rail and EUI technology, and Delphi authorized Common Rail pump and injector test & repair were separately introduced by Stuart Justice, Technical Support Engineer from Hartridge UK and Guojun Wang, Service Director from DPSS Diesel China. The attendees also had the opportunity to practice what they had learned and discuss the problems they encountered. 
This training is crucial in ensuring that the centres of technical excellence (Tier one service workshops) equipped with the Hartridge AVM2-PC test stand, lead the China market in the testing of new technology. Keith Payne confirmed “we were particularly impressed by the enthusiasm of the delegates attending this event. Their energy and willingness to embrace what is at times a complex, technical subject was commendable”.
